Restaurant Point of Sale in Hospitality

My Role

I drove technological transformation in more than 20 restaurants by implementing the Oracle POS system, leading the process from defining operational requirements to configuring on-site equipment, ensuring scalable and efficient adoption aligned with service standards.

The Challenge

  • The point-of-sale system had technological limitations that complicated the integration of solutions to improve operational controls, including bracelet scanning, guest counting per restaurant, and efficient discount application, leading to accounting and administrative impacts on operations and the supply chain

  • Specific technical and functional requirements

  • Variations and adjustments of operational processes depending on the type of restaurant (buffet, à la carte, bars) and special events, such as groups and weddings.

Point-of-Sale Replacement

We modernized the sales infrastructure in high-volume tourist restaurants, ensuring operational continuity and alignment with new business rules defined by strategic decisions.

  • Participated in the strategic planning of the project alongside Project Managers, including designing the roadmap, sprints, and defining critical paths to ensure agile implementation

  • Implemented functional improvements, such as developing tip calculation, optimizing operations and income recording for accounting and payroll departments.

  • Conducted on-site functional testing and installation of physical equipment (servers, terminals, printers, etc.), ensuring proper operation.

  • Coordinated functional specialists in designing new operational procedures, providing post-go-live support, and developing training materials, strengthening change management.
